The Common Pleas Reception traditionally honors judges of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and the Philadelphia Municipal Court. This gathering provides members of the bench and bar an opportunity to connect in an informal, collegial environment at the outset of the judicial year. Designed to encourage conversation and familiarity, the Fall Reception reflects the Club’s longstanding commitment to strengthening professional relationships within Philadelphia’s legal community.

The Federal Reception honors members of the federal judiciary serving in Philadelphia, including judges of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Bankruptcy Court, and federal magistrate judges.

The Appellate Reception honors members of Pennsylvania’s appellate courts, recognizing their service to the Commonwealth and their role in shaping its jurisprudence.This reception offers a meaningful forum for members of the bench and bar to engage outside the formality of court proceedings, fostering respectful dialogue and professional connection in a relaxed setting.
